Founding Partner in Savrick, Schumann, Johnson & McGarr, Ms. McGarr’s practice encompasses all employment related matters including litigation in federal and state court and administrative proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Ms. McGarr regularly counsels employers on employment issues involving state and federal employment and labor laws, wage and hour counseling, civil rights compliance, wrongful termination and retaliation claims, executive and employment contracts and non-compete covenants. She regularly conducts workplace investigations as well as equity pay audits and has represented employer clients in numerous types of employment disputes including allegations of discrimination on the basis of age, race, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, religion, disability and sexual harassment. Ms. McGarr has served as lead trial counsel in state and federal court and has had successful jury and bench trials to verdict. Ms. McGarr also provides clients with in-house training, seminars and employee handbooks and routinely negotiates successful settlements and meditations.Ms. McGarr has significant litigation experience in complex commercial litigation, including disputes involving a wide variety of employment, contract, fraud, intellectual property, and professional malpractice issues.
